Senior Architectural Designer/Project Manager

Established in 1993, our firm has expanded rapidly into the hospitality, multi-family and office markets throughout the United States. We serve our clients with quality design, practical construability and a desire to provide exceptional service. Due to our considerable growth, we are seeking a dedicated professional looking to join our energetic, creative team.
Position Summary The Senior Architectural Designer/Project Manager researches, plans, administers building projects, prepares drawings and construction documentation for architectural plans and designs, applying knowledge of design and construction technology for various building uses and construction types. The Senior Architectural Designer/Project Manager reports to a team architect and serves in a lead position to assist the work activity of a CAD Operator and coordinates the work activities of consultants engaged on assigned projects.
Primary Position Duties & Tasks
1. Schematic / Preliminary Design: Assists the Architect in the preparation of preliminary plans including site plan, floor plans and exterior elevations.
2. Construction Documents: Assists the Architect in the preparation of construction documents, which include complete architectural plans and coordination of structural, plumbing, HVAC and electrical designs. Development and production of the construction documents. Direct activities of CAD team engaged in development and production.
3. Bidding Phase: Assists the Architect with the issuance of addenda as necessary.
4. Construction Phase:
Assists the Architect to issue construction bulletin directives to the contractor.
Position Requirements Ability to work independently 8+ years of experience as a Senior Architectural Designer/Project Manager. Ability to complete construction detailing without input from Architect. Highly organized. Ability to deal with stressful situations. AutoCAD working proficiency. Ability to multi-task, working on 2-3 projects concurrently. Ability to consistently meet project schedule deadlines. Effective communicator both verbally and in writing. Comfortable working in team environment. Ability to develop presentations for clients. A comfort level working within 3D drawings. Familiarity of Microsoft Office products is preferable.
